Just a quick writeup and set of photos from the SECC Championship weekend day 2. Yep day 2. Where is day 1 you might ask? I was at work for day 1 and didn’t make it out. I wish I could have made it to day 1 but I can’t be in two places yet, although I am working on it.

Anyway, the real story.

XC Short Track

I arrived at Chewacla State a little late and only had a few minutes to shoot the A’s race. Looked cool. I also needed to try and help get some pedals off a bike. The B’s race is where most of the shots come from. Local high schooler Ryan Thornton ripped the legs off the B’s race lapping the entire field except for Connor McCormick, another local racer and Auburn Flyer.

Downhill

The downhill race took place on the Pipe Dream trail in Chewacla. After a few practice runs in for some of the riders, timed runs began. We started off at the “Leap of Faith” for some jumping action with only 1 pretty bad crash. After a few racers we moved up and down the course, for different vantage points. Awesome to watch these racers push themselves and up their skills. All in all an awesome, albeit hot, day at the trails!
