While I didn’t have to come up with much for this ad it does give a good example of how I am able to match design styles. The top half of the ad, everything from “opelika, al” up was already created. I was asked to add the date and website. I didn’t want the two new elements to feel completely detached so I continued the theme that had already been set by the previous designer. Being able to emulate an already present design style is important because you don’t want any new work to look disjointed from previous work, you want it to flow seamlessly. This is a skill that I feel I have always been good at, and while sometimes over looked, is very important for designers to do.
